Force of Nature Productions Spotlights a Diverse Array of New Short Plays

Warm. Disturbing. Fulfilling. Puzzling. From our parents, siblings, and spouses, to imaginary friends and random strangers, to the family we choose, our lives are influenced by our relationships, informing our perspectives and altering our perceptions.

This June, Force of Nature Productions explores human connection, from platonic to romantic, from distant to close, with an evening of original short plays from a diverse group of acclaimed playwrights. Several of these plays were created and work-shopped as part of Force of Nature’s Creative Community and are World Premieres.

A young woman stands up for her faith in the face of her professor’s disbelief. Bar patrons struggle to find joy and comradery in a world absent the intoxicating effects of alcohol. The recently deceased discover the true value of a human soul. And much, much more.

This evening of theater may make you laugh out loud in one moment, then hold back tears in the next. You may find yourself nodding in agreement, or shaking your head in incredulity with equal vigor. And you may find yourself seeing your own relationships in a new light long after the final bow.

What happens when those awesome, melodramatic, passionate characters from your favorite Spanish channel Telenovelas are thrown right in the middle of the Charles Dickens’ Classic, “A CHRISTMAS CAROL?” Force of Nature Productions answers that question and mucho más, amigos, with the return of

“A TELENOVELA CHRISTMAS CAROL!”

Back from a sold out run in December of 2025, Force of Nature works their magic by relocating Dickens’ story to Western México into the tequila empire of Pedro Azúcar. A powerful man whose mission in life is to make the world’s greatest tequila and destroy his life-long rival, Fancisco Lajarra, owner of Lajarra wines. Passion, tequila, seduction, champurrado, redemption and even musical numbers ensue in this original new comedic telling of a holiday classic!

So dress up in your favorite Telenovela inspired holiday outfit and come 20 minutes early to enjoy some caroling! We’ll see you there to get you in the Holiday spirit, amigos!
